L3VPN ping source?

hi,

I have question regarding l3vpn...

As I understand it, the default source of a ping on Junos is the loopback address

If I am pinging a destination on a l3vpn, where the table has no route to the PE loopback, what source is used for the ping if I do not specify a source myself?

Any assistance ould be greatly appreciated
